I am originally from Butwal, Nepal. I came to Omaha in 2007 as an Engineering student. My first job was as a dishwasher in a local Indian kitchen. Since then, I have earned my Culinary Degree from Metro Community College. I have worked for some amazing chefs from the area. I have had the privilege to run a local Indian kitchen for several years. And now, I am very grateful for the opportunity to have my own kitchen. Saffron is located at Aksarben across from DJs Dugout. The atmosphere is upscale and modern. The best seats are by the windows. The service was very prompt and attentive. They have a nice compact menu that won't overwhelm you. I had a fantastic spicy tequila cocktail while my wife had a wine. The spinach artichoke naan is a great starter
The restaurant was such a great dinning experience. From the moment we walked in, we were promptly seated and greeted warmly by our hostess. She made sure we were taken care of during our visit. The food was delicious, it was a very good portion and tasted as great as it looked. I would definitely recommend and will be back soon!
The ambiance of the floor to ceiling decorated windows and the beautiful bar make this a special evening and meal. We have dined here 6 times in the last four months (because it's very good) and we've tried many things on the menu. You will usually see several of the owners working the room, preparing dishes, and serving customers..
Finally got to try this place for dinner on a Saturday. I love the convenience of making reservations on Open Table. Our server was quite friendly and attentive. The garlic naan might be some of the best I've ever had! So fluffy and doughy and delicious and the mint chutney really hit the spot. We tried the mulligatawny and salad and both were extremely tasty.
Date night at Saffron last night. First time coming here. Absolutely loved the decor and ambiance. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I absolutely love Indian food. One of my favorites. saffron is more of a modern, upscale twist of Indian food. Firstly I must say 10 stars to the chef who cooked my shrimp. They were cooked absolutely perfect.
